How To Keep Your Dog From Barking Excessively

The irritating and unbearable noise barking creates has always been the concern of the neighbours living beside households who has a dog or dogs in their houses. How can we stop a dog from barking? It is like stopping a person from speaking what are in their minds. Definitely, we would like to check the difference between overly barking and a normal barking.

As soon as you know already the difference of their behavior, you can then adopt these 5 steps on how to stop your dogs from their annoying barks.

1. Do not give your attention to the barking if the dog just wants you to notice it. By giving in, you are simply encouraging the dog to bark more. Thus, disregard the feline when it barks, and give it attention when it is quiet.

2. Give proper exercise to your dog. This will help the dog to be in a happy mood always. The exercises will calm the dog down and in this way you can easily control the dog to stop barking.

3. Learn to order the dog to start and to stop barking. Once the dog starts to listen to your command, it would be faster to train the dog in other matters. During trainings, make it a commitment to come up with a reward system and be consistent so that the dogs will not be confused.

4. Don’t allow your dog to greet your visitors. He/she will feel that visitors are important to him/her and in this way him/her will be excited to meet the visitors and keep barking at them. Do not let the dogs stay anywhere especially near the doorway and remind the visitors to just ignore thehim/her if he/she is barking at them.

5. Dog training tools are very helpful in winning your dogs to stop barking. Combine it with a well planned behavioral modification program, and for sure you will be successful with your intention of training your dogs when to stop barking.

Classic examples are sonic dog collars, spray collars, shock collars, etc… When your dog starts barking, the collars go off thus making your dog stop.
